Peter outlines in the website introduction that he and his wife spent over 15-years on various contracts in Dubai. Between 1995 and 2013. The photographs exhibited in this gallery just touch on the flavour of Dubai during that period. There are images of fishermen, particularly the fisherman sitting in his own net!! And the obvious images of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. However, Peter draws your attention to the photographs of the timeless nature of the building of the Dhows in Jadaf. Jadaf is a dhow fabrication yard going back to the early days of Dubai in 1952. The old timber working techniques are there for all to see to this day. This also applies to the racing dhows, which are illustrated here, along with the up-to-date Louis Vuitton racing yachts. Other mixed images give a ‘feel’ of the old Dubai, particularly the Dubai Creek series.
